As a campus that continues to expand its wings in the international arena, Untag Semarang is increasingly active in holding international scale activities. Most recently, the campus with a Pancasila Nationalist perspective has collaborated with one of the leading universities in the Philippines, Caraga State University (CSU).

The collaboration was marked by a virtual meeting and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Untag and CSU. The two universities agreed to establish several programs, one of which is the “Student Mobility Program” where students can do student exchanges, internships according to their interests and talents, academic comparative studies, and much more.

In addition to the Student Mobility Program, both Untag and CSU also agreed to collaborate in the field of international research and publications both among lecturers and students. International seminars and conferences are also included in the agreement between the two universities.

Untag Semarang, represented by Prof. Dr. Retno Mawarini Sukmariningsih, SH, MHum (Vice Rector IV) said that Untag Semarang’s vision in facing this era of globalization is through innovation, inclusivity, and international collaboration. She emphasized that by signing this memorandum of understanding, Untag is building partnerships and creating a platform for students and faculty to engage in a dynamic exchange of ideas, culture, and research that transcends geographical and national boundaries.

“Our collective effort towards internationalization is an academic endeavour and a commitment to preparing our scholars and leaders of tomorrow,” added the law professor.

Meanwhile, from the CSU which is headquartered in Butuan City, Philippines, the rector, Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil and the dean of the College of Engineering and Geosciences, Engr. Anamarie P. Sajonia were present.

At the end of the session, the head of the International Office and Mobility Untag Semarang, Dr. Ars. Eko Nursanty, ST, MT said that in moving forward, we must be guided by the spirit of cooperation. The architecture study program lecturer invited us to respond to every obstacle not as a setback, but as an opportunity to grow and learn. Commitment to excellence in education and research will serve as a compass that directs us as an educational institution through these uncharted waters, he said in his closing statement.

In the virtual meeting with CSU, the vice chancellor I of Untag, Prof. Dr. Dra. Emiliana Sri Pudjiarti, MSi and vice chancellor III Drs. Harsoyo, MSi and several deans in the Untag Semarang environment were present.
